There's not much to see around West Sutton station, accessible only by the 413 bus route if you're not keen on trains. The area is largely residential, with a few local businesses standing opposite the station, a recreation ground nearby too. So it's no surprise few visit the station, with about 180,000 entries and exits from 2021-22; only the triad of Morden South, South Merton and St Helier - all next to West Sutton on the line - have fewer visitors.
The station is easily found with the station pole, a large British Rail logo standing next to a house - don't expect to have a glamorous experience as all you can do is wait on the platform for your train - though there is a ticket machine, so that's nice.
The only interesting place is Sutton United's stadium, called Gander Green Lane after the road it's situated on - it's a small stadium that's mostly featured in non-league football until Sutton were promoted in 2021 to League Two, and since this year has also played host to Crystal Palace's women's team. I happened to turn up the day before Sutton United hosted Bradford City, a match they won 2-1, a match I didn't attend, so the signboard is the only photo there'll be.
