Imperial have been very keen on getting everyone ready for the year ahead. Already they've told me about getting a student ID photo sent in, as well as sending over two forms. One was to select the ancillary subject to my degree, which ended up being easy for me because I have to do "Maths and Physics 1", that's the nature of my degree - Chemistry with Molecular Physics. The other form was related to disabilities and support, which was also quite simple for me to fill out. It's not got to the point of writing essays - yet. On to 29th September, I suppose, where the real grind begins, and the 5th January - exam week - where the real overreaction and panic starts.
I've been thinking about my A Level grades recently and I've decided that yes, they're okay. They're not an abomination, and I do cringe at the post I wrote recently about them. Same goes for the comment I wrote in reply to someone, which I thought came off as somewhat funny but now just reads like a mopey teenager.
Although I do stand by the fact that there is a certain irony in my blog name, and the grades I ended up getting. Or is it just coincidence?
Also, I would like to add that, yes, normal blogposts will be returning soon. This is kind of an update post, in lieu of a post where I just need to find some photos and then it will be ready. And to any readers who got their GCSEs today, congrats, regardless of what you got! I remember doing them and how miserable they felt - the mere fact you got through them is achievement enough.
