Doc in South Ken

I was coming home from Imperial today, when I noticed the entrance to the underground walkway to South Kensington station was closed off. For those who are unaware, there's a walkway straight from the station to Exhibition Road, where Imperial stands, along with the odd pathway to the various museums in the area. I'm a big fan of the underground entrance to the V&A myself.

 

Film crew set up around here?

Apparently they were filming something there, and to be fair there were some people set up there at the time. Mind you, this was around 8:15pm, so I'm not sure how much filming was actually taking place at the time. So I had to go round through a different entrance. There, as I entered the station, I noticed a man in a hi-vis jacket, so of course I asked him what was being filmed. A BBC documentary, apparently, though he couldn't say which one, because he didn't know.

So now I'm curious as to why a BBC crew decided to film some stuff in an underground walkway. I can't imagine it would be particularly cheap to do it in Kensington, either. 

It might just be something about the museums. Maybe it's one of those random minute long cuts where the presenter walks through a tunnel, just to bring up a new topic. I wonder if I'll ever find out.
