I'm not sure if you've noticed, but for the past two months, this blog has been almost exclusively about chemistry. That's going to stop from now on, unless I need to resit some exams in the summer, but you can expect normal service to resume in December. My uni's not the kindest in the world when it comes to exams.
I won't say I'm particularly euphoric after these exams, because that would be a lie. My dream of a first in first year is probably long gone, and honestly, these past two weeks have probably nailed that dream right in the coffin. I've learnt lots about myself, mostly how I can somehow manage nearly two months without any exciting hobbies, mostly living off of studying, caffeine, and social media. Oh, and blogging. But most of the posts recently were revision notes, as I just said.
I put most of my efforts into organic and biochem, and neither was particularly great. In the organic exam, as soon as I opened it, all my revision just flew right out of my head. I think I recovered in the end, but I also felt strangely cocky when I left the exam hall, so odds are I didn't do that well. The last question seemed to trip most people up - I thought it was alright, then again I barely spent much time on it. Same goes for biochem, where I failed a question on enzyme assays despite literally writing about them this week. The rest ranged from mediocre to abysmal, and I'm hoping to just get by. I've only just gotten a bit over it.
The rest was...fine, I guess? Inorganic was alright, unless I completely misunderstood everything and lost loads of marks for free. I didn't revise for physical, but I think I got the 13 marker at the end. I'll hopefully pass both of them, and be in line for a 2:1. Which is really apt for a blog called All Over 2a, don't you think?
I don't know, I feel like I spent the past seven weeks for nothing; five of those were half-term, and the only fun thing I did was go to Otford. I could have probably got the same results on just two weeks, idk. I just hope this is the last time I talk about exams this year.
