A Poem I Wrote - Party X; The Football Club

Who knows? Maybe the Tories will one day buy Manchester United or some team...

Party X - The Football Club

We are playing a nationalist 4-4-2,
Espousing our budget through our transfers
Your agenda is impure
for you cannot finance that young Argentinian
We’re Party X, we buy who we want
without paying tax and buying
over-the-counter discount drugs
Our tactics are in briefcases
Your secrets are too, we’re Party X
We own our football club
We’ll turn it into Gretna
Only wait and see
Our policies are the only ones that matter
and exist through twenty men
We live for money, to melt down any trophies
we win into scrap iron to pay for
the whistles to stay jammed
