Camping in Scotland

There isn't much to post today; just some photos of Scotland from when I went camping there last year:

Camping can be a pleasant activity if the scenery is nice. That's obvious. The variety of places that you will find is in itself a key benefit. The sea crashing against the coast or the calm swishing of the waves can arise depending on where you go.

There are also many unique areas to find when camping. Loch Ness, for example, is infamous for the "monster" and the merchandise sold by the various local shops happily refers back to this. The same is also in many other areas.

Obviously I didn't camp on the coast or in all these areas - it was for tourism purposes.

A fairly big downside to camping in Scotland is obviously the rain. There is lots of it in Scotland, seemingly regardless of the season. The heavy winds crashing against your tent as you try to sleep, for example.

It's also not that great if you are too accustomed to your regular day. Camping can be a great departure from technology I suppose, and the views more than make up for it. Cooking soup using portable stoves as well was quite a nice departure from my life right now in London.

This post was not sponsored by Scotland's tourism agency, but perhaps this post itself makes you want to camp in Scotland.
